in search of a dedicated, innovative Technology teacher to join our dynamic and
evolving Technology department. We are looking for an educator who is committed
to upholding the highest standards of teaching and learning.
This is a Full-time Permanent
position starting Week 1, Term 1, 2026.
The successful applicant will
possess a sound understanding of both the NCEA and BCATS assessment frameworks,
complemented by relevant practical experience, enabling them to support
students as they develop practical skills and pursue industry-aligned learning
pathways. A National Certificate in Carpentry Level 4 or higher would be
advantageous.
The successful applicant will
also:
- Have a teaching diploma and be a registered teacher.
- Have experience with/ or knowledge of the NCEA and the
qualifications framework.
- Be legally allowed to work in New Zealand.
- Have a collaborative and constructive work style.
Contract and remuneration will
be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (CA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/.
As assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual
remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of
$61,329 and top rate of $103,086. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
