Food Technology or Materials Technology Teacher

Rangitoto College is in search of a dedicated, innovative Technology teacher to join our dynamic and evolving Technology department. We are looking for an educator who is committed to upholding the highest standards of teaching and learning. 

Exciting developments are underway at Rangitoto College, as we have been approved for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art learning centre to house all Design Technologies. Construction is expected to begin in 2025, creating an innovative environment that fosters both teaching excellence and student-driven projects.

This is a Full-time Permanent position starting Term 1 2026 or negotiable

The successful applicant should have a passion for emerging technologies. Our department is well-equipped to accommodate a broad range of student projects. Experience in teaching technology scholarship is an advantage.

 

The successful applicant will also:

•  Have a teaching diploma and be a registered teacher.

•  Have experience with/ or knowledge of the NCEA and the qualifications framework.

•  Be legally allowed to work in New Zealand.

•  Have a collaborative and constructive work style.

 

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (STCA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/secondary-teachers-collective-agreement as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $61,329 and top rate of $103,086. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
