Health and PE Teacher (PE focus) - T1 2026 or by negotiation


Rangitoto College is looking for a teacher of Health and Physical Education to join our energetic, well-resourced, and collegial Health & PE Department. This is a full-time permanent position commencing Term 1 2026 or by negotiation. We welcome applications from enthusiastic, motivated teachers who will thrive in a busy and dynamic environment and who have a strong mix of theoretical and practical knowledge.

 

In addition to experienced teachers, we welcome applications from beginning or early-career teachers, who can take advantage of our highly regarded PCT programme.

Teachers at the college are expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the college; please indicate in your application what sports or co-curricular activities you may be able to contribute to.

 

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers' collective agreement (STCA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/ as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting $61,329.00 and top rate of $103,086.00. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
