Rangitoto College seeks a part time Librarian with a broad knowledge and
understanding of a library and its purpose within an educational environment. Our library supports staff and students with
the curriculum, literacy, and information literacy. We are looking for a person
who has a vision of how a modern library will develop to meet future learning
needs. This is a 21 hour per week (term
time only) position 9:30 to 5:00pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
We
require a person who has:
- A
passion to work with and relate to teenagers
- A
Library qualification or Library experience
- Oliver
LMS experience essential
- Social
media and IT skills including Canva, Instagram and Yodeck experience
- Excellent
communication skills
- Exceptional
organisational skills
- Initiative
- The
ability to manage change
- Read
a wide range of fiction, particularly Young Adult fiction
- Support
the development of information literacy
- Work
well as part of a team
- Work
with and train student librarians
