STEM Teacher - commencing T1 2026
We are a high-performing school that aims to give every student the opportunity to excel. Rangitoto College is in search of a passionate STEM Educator ready to spark curiosity, build critical thinking, and empower students to explore science, technology, engineering, and maths in meaningful ways.
Rangitoto College is pleased to announce the approval of a new state-of-the-art Design Technologies learning centre, with construction scheduled to begin in 2025. This facility will provide a modern, innovative environment that supports both teaching excellence and student-led projects.
This is a Full-time Permanent position starting Week 1, Term 1, 2026.
The successful applicant should have a passion for emerging technologies, coupled with a solid proficiency in coding and digital technologies. Our department is well-equipped to accommodate a broad range of student projects. Experience in teaching robotics, electronics, or involvement in EVolocity is an advantage. Please state specialist subjects.
The successful applicant will also:
• Have a teaching diploma and be a registered teacher.
• Have experience with/ or knowledge of the NCEA and the qualifications framework.
• Hold relevant visa or be an New Zealand citizen.
• Have a collaborative and constructive work style.
Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (CA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/. As assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $61,329 and top rate of $103,086. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
