Alumni Coordinator (Part time)


Are you a tech-savvy communicator with a passion for community building?
Wakatipu High School is seeking a proactive Alumni Foundation Coordinator to join our team and grow our Alumni Foundation. This is a fixed term, part time, term-time-only job (10 hours per week, 40 weeks per annum).

Keys Tasks will include:

  • Database Management: Develop and maintain a graduate and alumni CRM system, database and webpages.

  • Engagement & Outreach: Design and execute a retention strategy and communication plan to keep our graduates connected.

  • Digital Presence: Manage alumni communications across social media platforms and email.

  • Events & Collaboration: Work alongside the WHS Foundation to plan and host annual alumni events and leverage support opportunities.

  • Legacy Projects: Collaborate with the current Graduating Class on legacy projects, leavers' gear, and the end-of-year Graduation.
  • Archiving: Establish an effective system for the collection and storage of key school artefacts.


Required skills and experience:

  • Strong Technical skills are essential, including database management and social media
  • Strong organisational skills, strong interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness at work
  • Project management skills will be highly regarded

This role sits at Grade 4, Step 9 ($32.27 per hour) on the Support Staff Collective Agreement.
