Arts Coordinator
Wellington Girls’ College is looking for an energetic and organised Arts Coordinator to join our team and champion arts and culture across the school community.
Position Details:
- Part-time, 25 hours per week (5 hours daily during school hours)
- School terms only, plus up to one week before the school year starts
- No work during school holidays unless some hours are required (by negotiation)
- On-site position (remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available for this role)
- Occasional after-school or weekend support for events and rehearsals (advance notice provided)
- To start 2 November or by negotiation
About the Role:
Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the Arts Coordinator facilitates the organisation, promotion and development of our creative programs. In this role, you will support staff and students by:
- Coordinating Events & Groups: Managing logistics, venue bookings, transport, schedules and awards nights for school arts activities.
- Promoting Engagement: Celebrating achievements across school channels and collaborating with student leaders to foster an inclusive creative culture.
- Managing Operations: Overseeing equipment, room bookings, licensing and database records while keeping the master arts calendar aligned.
- Supporting Admin & Finance: Assisting with event budgeting, student fee invoicing, instrument hires and grant applications.
- Passionate about the arts with excellent interpersonal skills and a community-minded focus.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, database management and desktop publishing, with a quick ability to learn new platforms.
- A clear communicator, comfortable presenting at school assemblies and events.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing logistics independently and as part of a team.
