Role
Kristin School are looking for a hard-working team player to join our Property
Team working Monday to Friday.
In this role, you will assist the Property Manager with maintenance and repairs
of the School's buildings, fittings and furniture, as well as implementing the
School's annual maintenance programme.
Your day begins by opening gates and locker bays, and then every day is
different; through to delivering parcels, trestle tables, chairs and other hire
equipment to different parts of the school, helping teachers move furniture
around classrooms and setting up for functions, which requires heavy
lifting.
With over 50 acres of school grounds, there is always something to do.
For the right person there is an
opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge to make them a leading
candidate for the Property Manager in the future.
Experience needed
This role requires someone who is hard working, physically fit and will take
pride in keeping our school in the best condition for our staff and students.
You will have at least 2 years' experience within the building industry, or
with similar trades, especially maintenance and DIY. Basic understanding of
plumbing and electrical systems is a must, along with a current driver's
licence. In this active role you will also need to be able to use a computer.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, use their initiative
and problem-solving skills. You will need to have excellent interpersonal
skills and communication skills, together with a flexible customer focused
approach.
You will need to be able to demonstrate commitment to Kristin's values and
enjoy working with children.
