Breakfast Cook (Part-Time, Term Time only)

Christchurch Girls’ High School | Te Kura o Hine Waiora is a leading state day and boarding school for Years 9-13 students, located in the heart of Christchurch City by Hagley Park.

We are seeking a reliable and organised Breakfast Cook to join our busy Acland House kitchen.

Hours:

• 5:30am – 11:30am (24 hours per week)
• Monday to Thursday (term time only)
• Additional hours may be required during school holidays

About the Role:

This is a fast-paced role in a busy kitchen where you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of food items each morning. Duties include:

• Preparing and serving hot breakfast dishes and continental options
• Preparing snacks
• Baking for morning tea
• Preparing salad ingredients for rolls, wraps, and lunch service
• Making soups and fresh salads
• Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained

About You:

• You must hold a current food handling certificate
• Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Able to work independently and handle a busy 6-hour shift
• Reliable, punctual, and a good team player

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an early-morning environment and enjoys working in a busy, hands-on kitchen.
