Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education New Zealand is a nationwide team of teaching, learning and professional services staff who share a passion and enthusiasm for delivering high quality education and services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and their whānau.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO / TE MAHI 

As the CESW Practice Teacher you will work closely with the CESW Lead in overseeing the professional development of paraprofessional staff employed by local schools receiving NZSL@School funding.  This role actively supports the Deaf/Hearing partnership. This is a fulltime adult teaching role.

You will need to be fluent in NZSL, experienced in mediating the NZ Curriculum through NZSL and understanding the unique language and learning needs of D/HH ākonga in the local school classroom. This is a permanent, fulltime role and there is some flexibility where this role is based. Current teacher registration is required.
