Commerce Teacher - commencing Term 1, 2027

Rangitoto College invites applications for a full-time permanent position in the Commerce Department, commencing in Term 1, 2027.

We are seeking for a positive and hardworking Commerce teacher to join our collegial, well-resourced department that achieves excellent academic results. Applicants should state all of their subject specialties. 

Rangitoto College is a high-performing school that aims to give every student the opportunity to thrive and excel. We do this by establishing and maintaining optimal conditions for learning, utilising a Knowledge Rich Curriculum and Mātauranga Māori, and enacting research-informed Teaching Principles. The college offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma in addition to NCEA. IB experience is advantageous, but not required.

Teachers at the college are expected to contribute to the extensive co-curricular life of the school.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (STCA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/secondary-teachers-collective-agreement as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $64,119.00 and top rate of $107,886.00. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
