Director of Sport

This leadership role is an exciting opportunity to develop a team to provide students from our community the opportunity to participate and excel in a range of sports. 

The successful applicant will be passionate about the powerful impact sports can make on youth and their experience at school. They will have demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to drive and enhance our sports programme and lead our sports department and build high levels of engagement in our sports provision. Ideally, they will have leadership experience in sports, leading in the development and ongoing improvement of the provision of sports. 

The College is proud of its history of sporting excellence achieved across our broad range of codes. We seek to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to this non-teaching position. This role will have responsibility for:

• planning and overseeing the strategic and operational direction of sport to foster both participation and high achievement, 
• leading and motivating Sports Coordinators and volunteers, 
• liaising with a wide range of sporting organisations
• responsibility for a significant budget to meet strategic goals and 
• building and maintaining supportive relationships with local businesses and community groups. 

An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant within the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement Grade 6 with a salary range between $110,000 and $120,000 per annum inclusive of 6 weeks of annual leave, a vehicle, mileage allowance, laptop, and phone.
