English Teacher - commencing Term 1, 2027

Rangitoto College invites applications for permanent full-time positions in the English Department, commencing in Term 1, 2027.

We seek innovative and enthusiastic teachers who have a deep interest in English as a subject, as well as in pedagogy. The department is collegial, organised and well-resourced, and is part of an exciting, high-performing school that aims to give every student the opportunity to excel. 

The College offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma. IB experience is advantageous, but not required.

Teachers at the college are expected to contribute to the extensive co-curricular life of the school.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (STCA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/secondary-teachers-collective-agreement as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $64,119.00 and top rate of $107,886.00. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
