Groundsperson


Rangitoto College is looking for a well presented, grounds person with experience in field maintenance.

Our ideal candidate will be practical, results focused, energetic and friendly. They will enjoy working as part of a small team and be equally comfortable working alone when required. Essential for the success in this position is good communication including the ability to speak and understand English to a conversational level. This position focuses on the presentation of our playing fields and grounds but also other functional support as time permits. Daily duties include tractor and hand mowing, spraying, and marking of fields. Light cleaning and tidying, rubbish collection, and basic building repairs and maintenance also form part of the role.

If you have patience and the ability to work around students, are IT savvy enough to use  a tablet and phone (as part of our booking system) and count proactivity as part of your skills toolbox then we look forward to receiving your application.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the School Caretakers Collective Agreement  (https://www.education.govt.nz/education-professionals/schools-year-0-13/people-and-employment/caretakers-cleaners-and-canteen-staff-collective-agreement) with a top-up to a maximum of $30 per hour depending on experience.

Immediate start date or by negotiation.
