Long Bay College is a vibrant co-educational
secondary school near Long Bay Beach and Village. With approximately 2,000
students and 170 staff, we are proud of our culture of care, high expectations
and commitment to student success.
Due to a full-year study award, we seek an
inspiring educational leader to teach Te Reo Māori and lead this important
curriculum area. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen te ao Māori,
support excellent outcomes for Māori students and help shape a rapidly evolving
area of our school. Te Reo Māori is offered from Year 9 to Year 13, including
Scholarship. The role may become permanent for the right candidate. Please

The successful applicant will be a confident
classroom practitioner and curriculum leader, with strengths in curriculum
design, knowledge-rich learning and cognitive-science-informed pedagogy. They
will grow collective practice, support colleagues and work with our engaged
community, whānau and Board to improve holistic outcomes for ākonga.

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant's qualifications and experience. An individual’s actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
