Learning Support Administrator 35 hours, Term time only
Are you an organised, empathetic administration professional who is passionate about helping students with additional learning needs succeed?
We are seeking a dedicated and warm Learning Centre Administrator to join our vibrant Learning Centre team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our Head of Department (HoD) Learning Support, SENCOs, Learning Assistants, teaching staff, and whānau to ensure our students receive the support and encouragement they need to achieve their full potential.
About the Role
This position is Part-Time, Permanent (Term-Time Only | 35 Hours Per Week)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 3.30 pm
Remuneration: Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement (Grade 4)
As the Learning Support Administrator, you will manage the administrative heart of our Learning Centre. Your daily work will directly support students with learning differences, ensuring smooth operations across Special Assessment Conditions (SAC), student records, and learning centre programmes.
Key Responsibilities include:
Special Assessment Conditions (SAC) Management: Coordinating internal and NCEA exam accommodations, and assisting with interviewing of SAC students regarding their required support, uploading applications to the NZQA portal, and maintaining accurate tracking data.
- Student Data & Systems: Updating student learning support records in our student database (FACTS and Google Drive), generating reports, and tracking support data.
- General Learning Centre Administration: Handling EOTC paperwork, maintaining resources (induction manuals, guides), ordering equipment and supplies, coordinating select support programmes in conjunction with the HOD and SENCOs, and assisting staff, students, and whānau with day-to-day inquiries.
About You

Key Requirements & Skills:
- Proven Administrative & Digital Capability: Experience maintaining databases, managing complex records with high accuracy, and navigating portal systems (e.g., NZQA, FACTS, or similar management software).
- Relational & Student-Centred: Ability to build trust, connect warmly with young people, and support students with learning disabilities with patience and respect.
- Organisation & Prioritisation: Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to meet strict exam deadlines calmly and efficiently.
- Discretion & Professional Conduct: Exceptional commitment to privacy and student confidentiality.
- Team Player: A flexible, positive attitude, with the ability to work independently while supporting the wider Learning Support team.
