Kristin School is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school on Auckland’s North Shore. It provides education for more than 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13, with dual pathways through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate programme. Guided by the strong values of progress, vision, integrity and love, Kristin has over 350 staff members across the school.

We are seeking a payroll specialist to process our fortnightly payroll for over 350 employees, answer payroll queries, prepare statutory returns including PAYE and GST, and assist the Finance Manager with financial management duties, including budgeting. Our newly implemented payroll system is Datacom’s Datapay, and we use Bamboo HR as the staff interface.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this person works in a team with an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Payable, Receivable and an Accounts Administrator. Providing variety to the role, you will also help with month-end journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and other Ad Hoc projects. This role is based on-site during term time and has the flexibility to work occasionally from home during term breaks.

You will also have the following:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ACC processes
  • Knowledge/ experience of PAYE, Kiwisaver etc
  • Experience with myIR filing
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • A willingness to contribute to a team environment
  • Expertise in the Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs.
