Science & Senior Health Teacher - commencing 2027

We are seeking a collaborative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated teacher to join our dynamic team. This dual-department position focuses specifically on Biology and Senior Health. You will be joining well-resourced, supportive departments that consistently achieve excellent academic results with fantastic students. Opportunities exist to teach within both NCEA and International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Curriculum Expertise: Detailed working knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum is compulsory.
- Teaching & Assessment: Proven capability in delivering research-informed classroom practice, a Knowledge Rich Curriculum, and high-quality NCEA and/or International Baccalaureate (IB) assessments.
- Professional Registration: Must hold a current Practising Certificate issued by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Co-Curricular Life: Active commitment to contributing to the college's vibrant co-curricular programme.
- Early Career Support: Provisionally Certificated Teachers (PCTs) are encouraged to apply and will benefit from our comprehensive PCT induction programme.
Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement (CA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/. as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, between $64,119.00 - $107,886.00 per annum plus allowances as above. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
