Student Centre and Pastoral Administration Coordinator


Long Bay College is seeking to employ an outstanding Student Centre and Pastoral Administration Coordinator to join our Student Services team.

This newly created role sits at the heart of our Student Centre and plays a critical role in supporting student wellbeing, attendance, pastoral care and operational systems.

We seek someone who is highly organised, technology confident and passionate about supporting young people.

The position will include tasks such as:

  • Coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Student Centre
  • Student sign-in and sign-out administration
  • Pastoral and attendance administration
  • Uniform pass and compliance administration
  • Mobile phone and confiscated property processes
  • Detention administration
  • Student information and record management
  • Reporting and tracking of attendance and student engagement
  • Supporting Deans and Senior Leaders with student services administration
  • Providing high-quality service to students and whānau

Experience in a school environment and knowledge of KAMAR or SchoolBridge would be advantageous.

This position is covered by the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement and is remunerated at Grade 2, Step 3 ($29.36 per hour). A relevant qualification may also attract an allowance, as may First Aid certification where applicable. 

This is a term-time-only position of 37.5 hours per week.
