Teacher of Drama 2027, Term 1
Rangitoto College has an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Drama to join our Performing Arts Department. The ability to potentially also teach Dance and/or Music could be an advantage. This is a great opportunity to become part of our excellent Performing Arts team, in a school with an outstanding reputation for the Performing Arts. You would be joining a supportive and extremely well-resourced department that strives for excellence in both curriculum, co-curricular ensembles, and major school productions.
The successful applicant will have had experience with NCEA and the qualifications framework and be a confident Drama teacher. They will possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to effectively deliver the Drama curriculum, including NCEA Level 3 and potentially Scholarship Drama. A willingness to support and contribute to the co-curricular side of Drama, such as assisting with our vibrant performing arts productions, would be highly desirable.
Please state all relevant experience in teaching Drama, involvement in performing arts productions, and any other areas of specialism.
Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers' collective agreement (CA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/ as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $64 119.00 and a top rate of $107 886.00. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
