Teacher of Social Science and English (fixed term full-time)

Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 2000 students with 170 teaching and support staff combined.
We seek a passionate classroom teacher to
teach Social Sciences and English. The successful applicant will bring strong
curriculum knowledge, a warm and consistent classroom presence, and a
commitment to explicit, high‑quality
teaching that helps every student succeed. The ability to teach additional
subjects is an advantage.
This fixed‑term
position is due to roll growth and would suit a teacher who thrives in a
collaborative, future‑focused
faculty environment. You will contribute to engaging junior programmes and,
depending on experience, senior NCEA classes. We welcome applications from
beginning and experienced teachers who value professional learning, clear

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant's qualifications and experience. An individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
