Technology Technician - 35 hours permanent term time only immediate start

Rangitoto College is looking for an experienced and capable Technician to support in our well-resourced Hard Technology department, which has multiple classrooms where students work with metal, wood and computers that use 3D printers.

This position is a satisfying mix of administration and practical support involving the purchase of stock and equipment, stockroom maintenance, set up of lesson materials; and check of all the tools, equipment, machines and materials availability and fit for use. The successful person will undertake small tool maintenance (eg chisels) and/or send tools out for repair. Knowledge of 3D printing while not essential will be advantageous. Initiative, team spirit, high work ethic, and the ability to adjust to the ebb and flow of school life are paramount.

The position is permanent, 35 hours per week (term time only), an immediate start is negotiable. The role affords work-life balance with the hours aligning with secondary school hours with no school holiday work.
