Rangitoto College is seeking a Director of Hockey to lead the participation and performance of our Hockey programme. This is an exciting opportunity that will give the successful candidate a chance to have a positive impact on our students and the wider community. The Director of Hockey will work closely with our wider sports department and will be responsible for continuing to build a successful pathway for our athletes that leads to an outstanding Hockey experience.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Coaching qualifications and/or equivalent experience
- Strategic thinking
- Strong planning and organisation
- Excellent communication skills
- A people person, able to build trust and maintain strong relationships
- Creative - “outside the box thinking”
- Flexible, proactive
This part time contract provides flexible working hours and a competitive salary to reflect the importance of the role. There is also the possibility of supplementing income as the coach of the premier team and through the provision of holiday camps.
